My husband, Marc, and I live just south of Dallas on a miniscule wanna-be farm that we call Pecan Knoll. We raise Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats and Barred Rock Chickens…and kids. We have six kids still at home that we homeschool and our two oldest are out on their own pursuing their own lives and interests… Home and family for one, U.S. Air Force for the other.

We are trying to move toward a more sustainable lifestyle, growing more of our own food, shopping and eating local…hopefully someday we can go off grid. In the meantime, we are slowly restoring our 100 year old house and having a blast.

I have a hard time thinking of myself as an author, writer, or much else than a mom. You know what? That’s o.k. with me. Cookies are awesome but they are not eternal. Except maybe on the thighs.
